Dice, be Nice with Craps and Royal Vegas Online Casino

Craps is the bastion of casino games. This mainstay of gambling owes its popularity to awesome odds and winning opportunities. Give thanks to the Old English game Hazard, from which craps was developed through simplification. Steeped in history and possibly dating all the way back to the Crusades with some French influences, the game, as it is known today, found its way into the gambling houses of New Orleans.

Bernard Xavier Philippe de Marigny de Mandeville may be a serious mouthful of names, but he is the man responsible for gamblers being introduced to the game originally known as crapaud (a French word meaning "toad"). The game has become a firm favourite the world over and is available for you, right here, at Royal Vegas.

Step into the shoes of the shooter, roll the dice and revel in the thrill of the game.

Craps Rules:

Ordinarily played with a sunken table (covered in green felt indicating bets) and a pair of dice, online craps works much the same way. At Royal Vegas the player (or shooter) takes on the casino and wagers his or her bet on the roll of the dice. By rolling the dice you assume the role of the shooter. The initial roll of each round is dubbed the “come-out roll” and minimum bets must be placed on either the “Pass” line or the “Do Not Pass” line, before a single die is rolled.

  • Rolling a 2, 3 or a 12 on the come-out roll results in a “crap out” and the end of the round.
  • Rolling a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll results in a win on a pass line bet.
  • Rolling a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 on the come-out roll results in that number becoming the “point” and the come-out roll ends.
  • The “On” button then moves to the point. Successfully rolling the point number will result in a win.
  • The second round will end when a point or a 7 is rolled.
